Shredder Oil and Lubricant

Oiling is the single most effective thing you can do to extend a shredder's life. Dry cutters work harder, jam more often and wear out faster, and most warranty claims for jamming trace back to missed lubrication.

Cross-cut and micro-cut machines should be oiled every time the bin is emptied. Use genuine Fellowes oil or lubricant sheets: aerosol and vegetable-based oils can gum the cutting head and void the warranty.
